Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 can refried beans
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 oz shredded cheese
- 12 tortillas or taco shells
How to Make the Taco Shells
If you’re making the shells from scratch, here’s the secret to getting them perfectly crispy:
- Steam the Tortillas:
- Wet some paper towels, wring them out, and layer with tortillas on a plate.
- Microwave for 30 seconds until soft.
- Shape & Bake:
- Lightly spray each tortilla with cooking spray.
- Drape over two bars of the oven rack.
- Bake at 350–375°F for 7–10 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
- Set aside to cool slightly.
