  • 300g linguine
  • 500g minced meat (beef, pork, or a mix)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs (or cap, if referring to capers—please clarify)
  • 500ml tomato sauce (passata or marinara)
  • 100g grated cheese (mozzarella, parmesan, or gruyère)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
