Ingredients

Dough

  • 240 ml (1 cup) warm milk

  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast

  • 100 g (½ cup) granulated sugar

  • 115 g (½ cup) unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 500 g (4 cups) all-purpose flour

  • 240 g (1 cup) mashed banana (about 2–3 medium ripe bananas)

Filling

  • 115 g (½ cup) unsalted butter, softened

  • 200 g (1 cup) brown sugar

  • 16 g (2 tbsp) ground cinnamon

  • 60 g (½ cup) chopped walnuts (optional)

Cream Cheese Icing

  • 115 g (4 oz) cream cheese, softened

  • 56 g (¼ cup) unsalted butter, softened

  • 180 g (1 ½ cups) powdered sugar

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
