4 slices thick bread (Texas toast / ciabatta / sourdough)
6–8 cooked meatballs (or ½ lb ground beef)
½ cup marinara sauce (+ extra for dipping)
½ cup mozzarella (shredded)
¼ cup cheddar (shredded)
2 tbsp garlic butter (butter + minced garlic)
1 tsp Italian seasoning (or ½ tsp basil + oregano)
Salt & pepper to taste
Fresh basil or parsley (garnish)
