Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Beef:
    In a bowl, combine beef chunks, soy sauce, lemon juice, and ground black pepper. Mix well and marinate for 1 hour.
  2. Sauté Aromatics:
    Heat oil in a pan. Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
  3. Cook the Beef:
    Add the marinated beef and sauté for 1 minute.
    Add bay leaves and the marinade sauce. Stir, cover, and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add Tomato Sauce and Simmer:
    Add tomato sauce and stir to combine.
    Pour in 2 cups of water, add the beef broth cube and Thai chili (if using). Stir, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes to 1 hour or until the beef is tender. Add more water if needed.
  5. Add Vegetables:
    Add carrots and potatoes. Cook until tender.
    Add green bell peppers and cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve and Enjoy!
    Serve hot with steamed rice.
