Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out one puff pastry sheet, spread mustard, then layer with cheese, bacon, and dill.
  3. Place the second puff pastry sheet on top, gently press to seal, and brush with egg wash.
  4. Score pastry into squares, then bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm with ketchup for dipping.

Variations

Use smoked cheese for extra flavor. ✔ Swap mustard for garlic butter or pesto. ✔ Make it vegetarian with sautéed mushrooms or roasted veggies. ✔ Try thyme or oregano instead of dill.

Storage & Reheating

  • Refrigerate leftovers for up to 2 days, reheat in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for 5–10 minutes.
  • Freeze unbaked pastry—wrap tightly and bake from frozen when ready.

A simple and satisfying appetizer with flaky, cheesy goodness in every bite. Enjoy!
