Instructions:

  1. Cook the Rice:
    • In a medium pot, bring chicken broth to a boil.
    • Stir in rice, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic powder.
    • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes (or as per rice package instructions). Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
  2. Marinate the Beef:
    • In a bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, honey, and ginger.
    • Add sliced beef and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour for deeper flavor).
  3. Cook the Beef:
    • Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook the beef in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, until caramelized and cooked through.
  4. Assemble the Stacks:
    • In bowls or a serving dish, layer:
      • 1st layer: Fluffy sesame rice
      • 2nd layer: Grilled teriyaki beef
      • 3rd layer: Fresh avocado slices
    • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
  5. Serve & Enjoy!
    • Best enjoyed immediately while the beef is warm and the avocado is fresh.
