Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. The dough should be soft but not sticky. If needed, add a little more flour.

2. Make the Cheesecake Filling

  1. In a small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the strawberry jam, leaving some swirls for a marbled effect.

3. Shape the Donut Holes

  1. Roll the dough into small balls (about 1-inch in diameter).
  2. Flatten each ball slightly and place about ½ teaspoon of the cheesecake filling in the center.
  3. Carefully pinch the dough around the filling to seal, then roll back into a smooth ball.

4. Fry the Donut Holes

  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry the donut holes in batches for 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

5. Serve

  1. Dust with powdered sugar (optional) while still warm.
  2. Enjoy fresh!

These donut holes are best served warm, with a gooey strawberry cheesecake center. 🍓🍩
