1. Cook the Pasta
-
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
-
Add linguine and cook until al dente (about 7 minutes). Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the Shrimp
-
In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.
-
Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.
-
Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
-
Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
3. Make the Scampi Sauce
-
Pour white wine (or broth) and lemon juice into the skillet.
-
Simmer for 1 minute, scraping up any browned bits.
-
Remove from heat and stir in parsley.
-
Return the cooked linguine and shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
4. Cook the Steak
-
Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat.
-
Pat the steak dry, then season generously with salt and pepper. Lightly brush with oil.
-
Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side (for medium-rare, 135°F internal temp). Adjust time for desired doneness.
-
In the last minute, add butter and garlic to the skillet, spooning the melted garlic butter over the steak.
-
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
5. Serve
-
Divide the shrimp scampi linguine between plates.
-
Top with sliced steak and garnish with extra parsley.
