Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  • Add linguine and cook until al dente (about 7 minutes). Drain and set aside.

2. Prepare the Shrimp

  • In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.

  • Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.

3. Make the Scampi Sauce

  • Pour white wine (or broth) and lemon juice into the skillet.

  • Simmer for 1 minute, scraping up any browned bits.

  • Remove from heat and stir in parsley.

  • Return the cooked linguine and shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.

4. Cook the Steak

  • Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat.

  • Pat the steak dry, then season generously with salt and pepper. Lightly brush with oil.

  • Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side (for medium-rare, 135°F internal temp). Adjust time for desired doneness.

  • In the last minute, add butter and garlic to the skillet, spooning the melted garlic butter over the steak.

  • Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.

5. Serve

  • Divide the shrimp scampi linguine between plates.

  • Top with sliced steak and garnish with extra parsley.
