Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Peaches

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). ✔ In a bowl, mix peaches, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, & cornstarch. ✔ Place mixture in a cast-iron skillet or baking dish.

Step 2: Make the Topping

✔ In another bowl, mix flour, sugars, baking powder, & salt. ✔ Blend in cold butter using fingers or a pastry cutter until crumbly. ✔ Stir in hot water, just until combined.

Step 3: Assemble & Bake

Spread topping over peaches, sprinkle with granulated sugar. ✔ Place skillet on a baking sheet (to catch spills). ✔ Bake 30–35 minutes, until golden & bubbling.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!

Let cool for 10–15 minutes, then serve with ice cream or whipped cream!

Tips & Variations

Adjust sugar if peaches are less sweet. ✔ Use frozen peaches—thaw before using. ✔ Canned peaches work too—drain 2 cans, use the juice from 1.
