How to Make It

1. Prepare the Pan

  • Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking dish (or use a smaller pan for thicker pieces).

2. Melt Initial Ingredients

  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine sugar, milk, and butter.
  • Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until butter melts and sugar begins to dissolve.

3. Cook on the Stove

  • Beat with a hand mixer for 8–10 minutes, or use a spoon (takes longer).
  • Stop mixing once the mixture leaves trails.

6. Set the Tablet

  • Pour into the prepared pan, spreading evenly.
  • After 10 minutes, lightly score the surface into squares.
  • Let set for 2–4 hours (or overnight) before cutting.
