A luscious layered dessert celebrating the classic pairing of creamy cheese and sweet guava!

Ingredients:

Creamy Cheese Layer:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 box (8 oz) heavy cream (or table cream)

  • 1 cup (180-200g) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin, prepared according to package instructions

Guava Sauce Layer:

  • 300g guava paste, cubed

  • 150ml water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Creamy Cheese Layer:

    • In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, cream cheese, and dissolved gelatin. Blend until smooth and well incorporated.

    • Pour the mixture into a serving dish or tray and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until fully set.

  2. Make the Guava Sauce:

    • In a small saucepan, combine the cubed guava paste and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the guava melts into a smooth, thick sauce (about 5-7 minutes).

    • Remove from heat and let cool slightly (it should still be pourable but not hot).

  3. Assemble the Dessert:

    • Once the cream layer is firm, gently pour the cooled guava sauce over the top, spreading it evenly.

    • Return to the refrigerator and chill for another 2 hours, or until the guava layer sets.

  4. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Slice into squares or scoop into bowls and serve chilled.
