Philly Steak Cheese Fries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven

    • Set to 425°F (220°C) to ensure crispy fries.

  2. Sear the Steak

    • Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high. Add olive oil, then the sliced steak.

    • Season with garlic salt and black pepper, stirring to coat evenly.

    • Cook until browned but still juicy. Remove steak and set aside.

  3. Sauté the Vegetables

    • In the same skillet (keep 1 tbsp steak juices for flavor), add bell peppers and onions.

    • Cook over medium heat until onions soften and peppers are slightly crisp-tender. Remove and set aside.

  4. Layer the Fries & Toppings

    • Off heat, spread half the fries in the skillet.

    • Top with 4 cheese slices, then steak and veggies.

    • Repeat layers, ending with cheese on top.

  5. Bake & Melt

    • Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and fries are golden.

    • Serve immediately for the best texture!
