- 4 cod fillets (150–200g each)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- ½ cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
For the Lemon Butter Sauce:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon (~3 tbsp)
- Zest of 1 lemon (optional, for extra freshness)
- ¼ cup chicken or vegetable broth (optional, for a lighter sauce)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
