Instructions:
- Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Make the Crust:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dry cake mix, melted butter, and egg.
- Stir until a thick, sticky dough forms.
- Press into Pan:
- Transfer the dough to the prepared baking dish and press it evenly into the bottom using your hands or a spatula.
- Bake:
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly soft.
- Cool & Slice:
- Let the bars cool in the pan for at least 10–15 minutes before slicing into squares.
- Serve & Enjoy!
- These bars are delicious warm or at room temperature. Serve as-is or with a scoop of ice cream for extra indulgence!
Optional Add-Ins:
- Sprinkle chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, or nuts on top before baking.
- Drizzle with caramel or chocolate sauce after baking.
