Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Lightly grease an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Make the Crust:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the dry cake mixmelted butter, and egg.
    • Stir until a thick, sticky dough forms.
  3. Press into Pan:
    • Transfer the dough to the prepared baking dish and press it evenly into the bottom using your hands or a spatula.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly soft.
  5. Cool & Slice:
    • Let the bars cool in the pan for at least 10–15 minutes before slicing into squares.
  6. Serve & Enjoy!
    • These bars are delicious warm or at room temperature. Serve as-is or with a scoop of ice cream for extra indulgence!

Optional Add-Ins:

  • Sprinkle chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, or nuts on top before baking.
  • Drizzle with caramel or chocolate sauce after baking.
