- Make the Custard
- In a saucepan, whisk egg yolk, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla
- Gradually add milk, whisk until smooth
- Cook over medium heat, stir constantly until thickened (8–10 mins)
- Add Chocolate & Butter
- Off the heat, stir in chopped dark chocolate and butter until glossy
- Assemble the Layers
- Line pan with biscuits
- Pour the warm custard over top, spread evenly
- Chill
- Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate 2–3 hours until set
- Top & Serve
- Garnish with chocolate shavings, slice and enjoy cold
