Instructions:

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan.

  2. Apples: Toss sliced apples with cinnamon and ½ cup sugar. Set aside.

  3. Dry Mix: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, remaining 2 cups sugar, and salt.

  4. Wet Mix: In another bowl, beat oil, eggs, orange juice, and vanilla until smooth.

  5. Combine: Gradually mix wet ingredients into dry until just combined (do not overmix).

  6. Layer: Pour ⅓ of the batter into the pan. Top with ½ the apples. Repeat layers, ending with batter. For a pretty finish, arrange extra apple slices on top.

  7. Bake: 1 hour 15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  8. Cool: Let sit 10 minutes in the pan, then invert onto a wire rack.

Serve warm or at room temperature—and watch it disappear!
