Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • ½ cup beef broth

  • 1 package (12 count) slider buns

  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • ¼ cup melted butter

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cook Beef & Onion: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the onion until fully cooked and onions are softened.

  3. Season & Simmer: Stir in salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Simmer for 5 minutes or until most liquid has evaporated.

  4. Prepare Buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom layers intact.

  5. Assemble Casserole:

    • Place the bottom bun halves in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

    • Spread the beef mixture evenly over the buns.

    • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.

    • Cover with the top bun halves.

  6. Top & Bake:

    • Brush melted butter over the buns and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

    • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

    • Uncover and bake for 10 more minutes, or until buns are golden and cheese is melted.
