Irresistible One Pot Creamy Chicken Pasta

Directions:

Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken breasts and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-6 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.
In the same pot, add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until softened. Add the garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Add the Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, chicken broth, and heavy cream to the pot. Stir well to combine.
Bring the mixture to a simmer and add the pasta. Stir to ensure the pasta is submerged in the liquid.
Cover the pot and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked and the sauce has thickened.
Return the cooked chicken to the pot and stir in the Parmesan cheese. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve immediately.
