Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat Oven & Prepare Dish
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a large baking dish or casserole pan with oil or cooking spray. Set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Ground Beef
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook for 6–8 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
Step 3: Add Tomatoes & Seasonings
- Stir in canned tomatoes, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5–10 minutes to blend flavors.
Step 4: Mix in Cooked Rice
- Remove from heat and stir in cooked rice until well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Step 5: Assemble the Casserole
- Transfer the beef-rice mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle grated cheese evenly over the top.
Step 6: Bake Until Cheesy & Golden
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
Step 7: Serve & Enjoy!
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh herbs (optional) and enjoy warm!
Serving Suggestion: Pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread.
Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
