Instructions
1. Prepare the Vegetables
- Rinse the broccoli and chop into bite-sized florets.
- Wipe the mushrooms clean with a damp cloth and slice evenly.
- Mince the garlic finely.
2. Sauté the Garlic
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and let it warm for 30 seconds.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
3. Cook the Broccoli
- Add the broccoli florets to the pan, tossing to coat in the garlic oil.
- Sauté for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally. If needed, add 1 tbsp water to help steam and soften the broccoli slightly.
4. Add the Mushrooms
- Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5–6 minutes, until they release their moisture and turn golden brown.
5. Season & Finish
- Add soy sauce (if using), salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and cook for 1 more minute.
- For extra richness, mix in butter until melted.
- Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice for a fresh touch.
6. Serve
- Enjoy warm as a side dish, over rice, or alongside grilled chicken, steak, or tofu.
