Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

  2. Season & Cook the Steak:

    • Pat the steak dry and season generously with salt and black pepper.

    • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side (for medium-rare) or until desired doneness.

    • Remove steak, let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.

  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter with 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat.

    • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (do not burn).

    • Pour in ¼ cup of reserved pasta water and stir, scraping up any browned bits.

  4. Combine Pasta & Sauce:

    • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce.

    • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Add more pasta water if needed.

    • Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  5. Add Steak & Serve:

    • Gently fold in the sliced steak and let it warm through for 1 minute.

    • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.

    • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Tip: For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream or a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten the flavors
