Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Gumdrops & Pan

  • Cut the gumdrops in half.
  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper, leaving extra hanging over the edges for easy removal later.

Step 2: Melt the Base

  • Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil on the stove.
  • Place a heatproof bowl (or a second pot) over the boiling water to create a double boiler.
  • Add the marshmallows, white chocolate chips, and melted butter to the top bowl. Stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.

Step 3: Fold & Set

  • Gently fold in the halved gumdrops.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Let it rest overnight (or at least 4–6 hours) to set.

Final Step: Slice & Serve

  • Lift the nougat slab out of the pan using the parchment paper.
