Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Rinse and trim the green beans, then cut them into bite-sized pieces if desired.

    • Peel and cube the potatoes.

    • Dice the ham into chunks.

    • Chop the onion (if using).

  2. Layer in the Slow Cooker:

    • Place the diced ham, green beans, potatoes, and onion into the slow cooker.

    • Pour in 3 cups of water.

    • Season with salt, pepper, and steak seasoning (if using). Stir gently to combine.

  3. Cook:

    • Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours, or until the potatoes and green beans are tender.

  4. Optional Crispy Finish (Recommended):

    • For extra texture, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Using a slotted spoon, transfer the ham, green beans, and potatoes to the skillet.

    • Sauté for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned and crispy.

  5. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Serve warm as a hearty one-pot meal. Adjust seasoning if needed.

Tip: If you prefer a thicker broth, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
