Instructions:
- Prep the Potatoes:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and scrub the potatoes (peeling is optional). Slice them into ¼-inch thick rounds.
- Season the Slices:
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet:
- Lay the slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet (avoid overlapping for crispiness).
- First Bake (Potatoes):
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until the slices are golden and slightly crispy.
- Add Cheese:
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the potato slices. Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Garnish & Serve:
- Remove from oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley or chives, and add optional toppings like bacon or sour cream.
