🔥 Instructions:

1. Marinate the Steak & Shrimp:

  • In a bowl, combine steak, shrimp, jerk seasoning, olive oil, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Toss well to coat.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for bold flavor).

2. Cook the Turmeric Rice:

  • Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add rice and turmeric, stirring for 1–2 minutes until lightly toasted.
  • Pour in broth, season with salt, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • In the last 5 minutes, stir in bell peppers. Remove from heat, let sit covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.

3. Sear the Surf & Turf:

  • Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high. Cook steak in batches for 1–2 minutes per side (for medium-rare). Set aside.
  • In the same pan, cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and curled.

4. Assemble the Bowls:

  • Layer turmeric rice in bowls. Top with jerk steak, shrimp, and extra bell peppers.
  • Garnish with scallions, a squeeze of lime, and optional avocado or cilantro.
