Preparation:
- Prepare Egg Mixture:
- Separate 6 egg yolks and put them in a large bowl.
- Mix in 125 grams of sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract until well blended.
- Add Bananas:
- Mash 2 ripe bananas with a fork and add to the egg mixture. Mix well.
- Combine with Milk:
- Pour 1 liter of milk into the egg-banana mixture and whisk together.
- Dissolve Cornstarch:
- In a small bowl, dissolve 3 tbsp of cornstarch in 20 ml of milk. Stir until completely dissolved.
- Add the cornstarch mixture to the main mixture and stir well.
- Cook Pudding:
- Transfer the mixture to a pot and cook on low heat, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
- Cook for around 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Pour the pudding into 4 small dessert cups and allow it to cool and solidify.
- Prepare Bananas Foster:
- In a pan, melt 10 grams of butter.
- Add 50 grams of sugar to the melted butter and stir until melted.
- Slice 1 banana and coat it with the caramel. Stir until the banana is covered with caramel.
- Assemble and Chill:
- Top the banana pudding with the bananas foster.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until firm.
