Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Prepare the chicken: Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally, then cut into thin strips resembling the size of french fries.
- Season the breadcrumbs: In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried basil, dried oregano, and black pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the spices.
- Coat the chicken: Set up a dredging station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with the seasoned breadcrumbs.
- First, coat each chicken strip in flour, shaking off any excess.
- Next, dip the floured strip into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Finally, roll the strip in the seasoned breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs evenly.
- Arrange on the baking sheet: Place the coated chicken strips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, flipping the strips halfway through to ensure even browning.
- Serve: Once golden and crispy, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
Enjoy your crispy, baked chicken fries!
