As a child, I couldn’t get enough of this dish and frequently asked my mom to prepare it.

Directions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.

  2. Shape dough: Roll dough into a ¼-inch-thick rectangle on a floured surface.

  3. Garlic butter: Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

  4. Assemble: Brush dough with garlic butter, sprinkle with Parmesan, then cut into 2-inch squares.

  5. Layer: Arrange pieces slightly overlapping in the dish. Drizzle with leftover butter.

  6. Bake: 25–30 minutes until golden and cooked through. Cool slightly before serving.

Variations & Tips

  • Extra cheesy: Add shredded mozzarella or cheddar with the Parmesan.

  • Milder flavor: Reduce garlic or use roasted garlic for sweetness.

  • Herb swap: Try rosemary or thyme instead of oregano.

  • Spicy kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter.

Pull apart, savor, and enjoy!
