    • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. Mix Wet Ingredients:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together applesauce, sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

  3. Combine Dry Ingredients:

    • In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

  4. Combine Wet & Dry:

    • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined (do not overmix).

  5. Bake:

    • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.

    • Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. Cool & Serve:

    • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

    • Slice once completely cooled.

Tips:

  • For extra texture, add ½ cup chopped nuts or raisins.

  • Substitute brown sugar for a deeper flavor.

  • Brush with melted butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar for a sweet crust.
