Instructions:
1. Prepare the Beef
- Slice the beef against the grain into ¼-inch thick strips (or ask your butcher to slice it for you).
- Pat the beef dry with paper towels to help the marinade stick better.
2. Marinate the Beef
- In a bowl or resealable bag, combine the beef strips and Worcestershire sauce.
- Massage the marinade into the meat, ensuring each piece is well coated.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight for best flavor).
3. Air Fry the Jerky
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°F (82°C) for 5 minutes (if your air fryer doesn’t go this low, use the lowest setting).
- Remove the beef from the marinade and shake off excess liquid.
- Arrange the strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).
- Cook for 2.5–4 hours, flipping halfway, until the jerky is dry but still slightly flexible.
- Check for doneness—it should bend without breaking but not be overly tough.
4. Cool & Store
- Let the jerky cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
- Keeps for 1–2 weeks at room temperature or up to a month in the fridge.
Tips:
✔ Freeze the beef for 30 minutes before slicing for easier cutting.
✔ Add extra spices like garlic powder, smoked paprika, or black pepper for more flavor.
✔ Adjust cooking time based on thickness—thicker slices may take longer.
