Instructions:
1. Make the Meatballs:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, milk, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Roll the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.
2. Prepare the Sandwiches:
While the meatballs bake, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
Once the meatballs are done, add them to the marinara sauce, letting them simmer in the sauce for 5-10 minutes to soak up the flavors.
Split the sandwich rolls and lightly toast them in a pan with olive oil until golden and crisp.
3. Assemble the Sandwich:
On the bottom half of each toasted roll, place a few meatballs and spoon some marinara sauce over them.
Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the meatballs.
Place the sandwiches under a broiler or in a hot oven for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
4. Garnish and Serve:
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil or parsley for added flavor and color.
Serve immediately and enjoy this cheesy, savory meatball sandwich!
This recipe is sure to deliver the perfect balance of juicy meatballs, melted cheese, and rich marinara sauce!
