Ingredients:

  • 2 ribeye steaks (1 to 1½ inches thick)

  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or high-smoke-point oil like avocado oil)

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced (or lightly smashed for a milder flavor)

  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary

  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme

(Optional additions: a pinch of red pepper flakes, 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish)
