Instructions:
Marinate the Shrimp:
In a bowl, soak shrimp in buttermilk for 10-15 minutes.
Make the Breading:
Mix flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and salt.
Fry the Shrimp:
Heat vegetable oil in a pan (350°F).
Dredge buttermilk-coated shrimp in the flour mixture.
Fry 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown & crispy.
Drain on a paper towel.
Make the Spicy Remoulade Sauce:
Mix mayo, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.
Assemble the Po’ Boy:
Spread spicy remoulade sauce inside the toasted French roll.
Add shredded lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles.
Top with crispy shrimp and drizzle more sauce!
Pro Tips:
Want extra crunch? Double dip shrimp in buttermilk & flour mix.
Make it a meal! Serve with fries or coleslaw.
Don’t like spicy? Skip the hot sauce in the remoulade.
